About Himalaya Baltimore

Himalaya Baltimore was founded from a shared passion for soccer and a vision of bringing the Nepalese community together through the beautiful game. The club's journey began during the summer of 2018, when members of the local Nepalese community regularly gathered at Honeygo Regional Park to play football, stay active and spend time together. What started as casual weekend matches soon evolved into a close-knit group united by friendship, teamwork and a common love for soccer.

During its early years, the team competed in several local tournaments under the name Perry Hall FC. At the time, the club had no formal executive committee or official organizational structure. Despite this, the team continued to grow through the dedication and guidance of community members. Nabin Gurung, Raj Kumar Shrestha, Chok Gurung, Rakesh Gurung and Saroj Chhetri played an important role in bringing players together, encouraging younger generations and helping establish a culture of unity, respect and teamwork that became the foundation of the club.

As participation and community support continued to increase, the vision expanded beyond simply playing football. Under the leadership of its founding President, Nabin Gurung, Himalaya Baltimore was officially registered as a nonprofit community organization in 2023, and an executive committee was formed to provide long-term leadership and direction.

Since then, the club has continued to grow by organizing annual soccer tournaments, launching its Kids Development Program and creating opportunities for players of all ages to participate, compete and develop through the game.

Today, Himalaya Baltimore is much more than a football club. It serves as a home for the Nepalese community in the Baltimore area, bringing people together through soccer, cultural celebrations and volunteerism. The club proudly celebrates Nepalese festivals, organizes community gatherings, supports individuals and families whenever assistance is needed and provides young children with opportunities to learn, build confidence and create lifelong friendships through its youth soccer initiatives.

Every tournament organized, every training session delivered and every community event celebrated reflects the club's commitment to strengthening relationships, preserving Nepalese culture and creating a welcoming environment where people of all ages feel connected.
